I dont want to hijack the ultimate food and drink thread anymore I know there are a few of us on the nation that appreciate a good beer ,and i love talking about all the new ones i try . Share your favorite beer or anything that you have tried recently . Let the nation know how awesome beer is ! My Top five beers 1. Ommegang Three philosophers - its a quadruple ale sitting at 9.7% its packed with a ton of flavor and i always recommend it to everyone. Best served slightly chilled in a glass . 2. Left hand brewery Milk stout / Nitro milk stout - This beer is made with whole milk , and has a very rich coffee taste . The nitro actually has 20 % nitrous mixed with the carbonation , it makes the beer taste a lot lighter and feels less heavy . 3. Sam Adams black berry whitbeer - This is a really light beer and very refreshing , it has a great berry taste but it isn't over powering or to sweet . This is one of my favorite beers to have in the summer time. 4. Ufo Raspberry Hefeweizen - This is a little heavier then the sam adams, but it has a similar taste and balance 5. Elysium Night Owl - I just got the chance to try this seasonal beer a few weeks ago and it is hands down the best pumpkin beers i have ever had . It has a great pumpkin taste and just the right amount of cinnamon/ nutmeg. Its hard to drink more than a few of these beers just because there is so much flavor to them they can give a little gut rot .

Lmao that gif is awesome . I really used to hate beer , I would only drink bud light because it was basically water. Eventually I just started trying stuff and grew a taste for it .
I had a new Sam Adams brew called new world , it was really sweet for a beer and for being at 10% .

Everytime I drank a beer at first I wanted to throw up, granted I was drinking Heinekin which I find to be a little strong. But after I started with tuborg its been a little easier, now I actually want a beer now and then.

1554 Enlightened Black Ale is my favorite beer. I usually wuss out and drink light beers, but that's my go to beer for sure. I once tried something called Blackened Voodoo Lager because the packaging was cool. Tasted like black licorice. Nasty. My 1st experiences with beer were 40s. I was gangsta in my youth. Then I moved on to Mickey's grenades. Not much better but got me pretty wasted. Young, dumb, and full of ......nasty beer. Now I actually enjoy beer for its taste.

Anything by the Badger brewery! I prefer ales to lagers.

I'll see if I can find some of the beers posted here in Sweden. I'm usually pouring down some good ol' ales. Preferably Electric Nurse, St Eriks or Sierra Nevada. Haven't tried Guiness yet though

i was in Stockholm in September and nearly fell off my chair at the price of beer! Wow! And then I found out the Norwegians come across the border to buy *cheap* booze! Yikes!

Haha, it all depends on where you decide to drink. Getting a few pints in central Stockholm may be a bit pricey ($7-8 for a very poor Heineken). Taking the subway a bit though and you'll find yourself in Old Town or Stockholm South for some really fine ale, stout or lager. Too bad though that very few know how to properly pour up a fine stout. I usually look towards Germany for my drinking urge, haha.

There is a candy, slash clothings store slash alcohol store in sweden right near the border, and like 30 minutes from where I live. The beer there is really cheap, for a tuborg its like 8kr for a small and 9 for a larger one, and heinekin its 12kr for a little one and 13 if I remember correctly, so its pretty cheap in my opinion. And I did not like Guiness from my time in dublin, it felt really weird to be honest, like... drinking... luke warm thin pudding and didn't really have a taste, atleast... Nothing I could feel, overall very dissapointing. Although Dublin is where I discovered my love for Heinekin so can't say the dissapointment lasted long. Also when I saw your user name and realized it was reo!

Also when I saw your user name and realized it was reo! Hahaha, the gifs you post always makes me laugh out loud. Regarding Guiness.....I picked up 4 of those and a couple of Kilkenny's today. Shortly heading over to my friends house to meet up the guys and game it up. I loved gaming since I could grasp my tiny baby viking hands around that NES controller. Then I started to love beer when I became an adult viking. Then someone told me "Hey, viking with pubic hair as facial hair....you should combine games with drinking beer" And I was like:

I love Guinness, especially in Ireland. Here in England not many places know how to keep it or pour it correctly so it can taste pretty awful. I had a fun week in Limerick back in 2005 when MUCH of the black stuff was drunk. Don't care much for Heineken. It's a watery lager with little flavour and not much to commend it.

I like Guinness foreign extra stout, I think it is only a seasonal brew but its got a little extra kick. This weekend i had duvel triple hop . Duvel is a sister company to ommegang ( i think it is based in Sweden). I was worried i wouldn't like it, i am not a big fan of hoppier beer like i.p.a brews . It was surprising at how refreshing it was, it had a great citrus taste to it that helped balance out the heavy hops. At 9.5% abv i was feeling pretty good after a liter of that stuff lol.
I don't have all these fancy pancy places to go drink, i am just stuck in america with bud light filled bars everywhere i go :C

There is a brewfest on February 15th in buffalo it's about a 3 hour trip . Over 100 microbrewerys are going to be present . I have already made plans to go down , it's going to be fantastic.
As for giving you ideas on what to drink , idk what you can get your hands on . Ordering beer over the internet is really expensive , it cost me 35 dollars to get a pint delivered to me .
