Nooooooot so good ): My alters have been out heaps because I can't deal with all the stress lately, I posted a bit in my blog, but yeah its just a lot to try and deal with and I'm not coping at all. Family stuff is okay though (: Mum and dad are super supportive and everything, my sister's still a total cow and see's everything as a competition for our parents attention for some ridiculous reason So yeah, I've been in bed sick for a few days, struggled with some uni deadlines but I'm just so exhausted and mentally not in a good place that I literally could not give a flying fuq about if I pass this semester or not... and my mum is like "if you don't pass, oh well! we'll celebrate anyways because you tried and thats what counts!" I can always retake the units next year anyways, so I'm not too worried. OH AND OMFG, IM AT MY LOWEST WEIGHT I feel so weird... like.. wot. I have.. curves??? HOW. WHAT. WHEN?! although its unintentional weight loss caused by severe anxiety, I ain't gonna complain about it..Now I just gotta find clothes that don't look like I've raided my brother wardrobe and shoved on the biggest pair of pants I could find 8D But yeah, shizzy stuff is happening but I'm trying to find things to keep me distracted like eating krispy kreme donuts and playing skyrim in between studying

Cel and SixHousePull have you two played the new zombies map yet. Definitely my favorite by far I want to so bad. This Friday just so happens to be a payday so...... Had I known I would be buying all the packs I probably wouldnt have done it one by one as I seem to be doing. I told myself a long time ago I wouldnt buy anymore CoD packs. Damn them and their awesome zombies!

Feel obligated to point out that they'll only continue to be as ridiculously expensive as they are for as long as you keep buying them. There are plenty of other games out there to give you the zombie fix you so crave, and they'll do it as well or better without charging an arm and a leg.
This has been a Public Service Announcement paid for by the Coalition for Stopping Abusive Business Practices. Also, brought to you by the letter G and the number 12.

Seriously though, you know I have to do whatever I can. If you keep supporting the practice, you're not just hurting yourselves, but other gamers as well. Companies will do what brings success. How much profit do you think they're making by charging 3x what something is actually worth, especially considering that many of their maps are just retreads of earlier maps? And if they're successful, then other companies will want to emulate them. This is bad news for everyone who buys games.

This is the game of "Supply and demand...rape." This doesn't just apply to the gaming industry. This applies to the very bread you buy in the supermarket. Do you really think it costs 4.79 to make a loaf of bread? Nope. I can do that for a buck fity. So take your rain... And.. and.. Well I don't know but just take it some where else. 8D

Do you really think it costs 4.79 to make a loaf of bread? Nope. I can do that for a buck fity. Simple solution, hear me out here.... Stop demanding rape? If you do, they'll stop supplying it. And no, I don't spend $5 on bread. That's outrageous. Most expensive kinds around here are $2, and I never pay over $1.25 precisely because I know I'd just be paying for the brand name instead of an actual increase in quality. Same with CoD. Anyway, I'll keep my rain right here where it's needed, thank you very much. Just because something is a widespread practice doesn't mean it should be supported blindly.

I find your rain hard and acidie... Let's talk cigarettes. Okay, I know you don't smoke but here ME out. Here in Chicagoland we pay 10 dollars for a pack. Now.. I come from the tobacco capital of the world and I know it doesn't cost 10 dollars to make a pack of cigarettes. > And I was just kidding about the bread. There's no way in hell we pay 5 dollars a loaf. But I was hoping being that you are a man, that it had been a while since you went to a grocery store, that you wouldn't have known the difference? And that.. maybe.. I could win a round. <

Truth isn't always pleasant, my dear. Once you're buying a product with full knowledge that it actively tries to kill you, I don't think any amount of logical discussion will get through to you (no offense). It's a physical, chemical, and mental addiction. Not quite the same thing as CoD. The prices are very bad, but I don't think it's quite evil enough to cause cancer. Maybe when they kick the price up to $20 for 5 maps. 8D CoD is not an addiction, though it can mimic one in some ways. Let me pull something from an old blog I wrote during the Great Downtime way back in the horrible, PSN-less month of May 2011. Because they give you that little bit of satisfaction at a time, you come to expect it. Then to depend on it. Then you start to think you can't get it anywhere else as easily. So you take whatever abuse the company decides to dish out. Pay 1/4 the cost of the game over again to get 1/10th the content? Sure, whatever it takes. Don't let yourself be taken for a ride. They are not the only game in town. Get something else, break yourself of that particular habit, and I promise you'll come to enjoy games more again. > Ha! I'm an avid shopper, my dear. Check your sexism at the door.>

I actually really dislike dlc a lot , i feel for all the extra creation it lets people create i feel it makes a lot of devs really lazy ( day one dlc for prime example ) . if you can announce day one dlc why couldn't it be included in the game without having to pay another 20 bucks after i just paid 60 .
In the other hand they already have enough of a fan base that a few people not buying the dlc wont really cause to much of a impact. I agree with what you are saying monkey ,but i feel there are to many people down that rabbit whole for anything to happen . just my 2 cents *shrugs *

Time being an important factor here, but Cel if you have the time make your own bread. My mum has been baking homemade bread for years and you can save tons of money by doing so. We can get a 40lb bag of flour for $12... and when you buy the other ingredients to make it you'll be way ahead money-wise in the long run. Again though, you need time. There are some types of bread you can start on, put the dough in the fridge for a few days until you have time to shape it and bake it.

I have no idea. Jeremiah bought the season pass so we paid the $50 forever ago 50 dollars? To rich for our account tbh. But that really sucks. I need a different zombie map. Think I got a little burn out on MoTD. It's not $50. $50 was for ALL of the new multiplayer and zombie maps And a play date sounds wonderful. Oh and I buy bread for 2 loaves for $1 at the local gas station they also have the cheapest milk, butter, and eggs. Oh and I live in between 2 of them. And drive past 3 of them on the way to work. I love you Kwik Trip Jeremiah is buying me a new headset because I bought him a new t-shirt... also darthbaggins YOU JUST HAD to keep posting shirtjunk stuff on fb and just had to have it pop up the moment Jeremiah and I were on my facebook. and then I Just HAD to click on their page and see the fire and blood shirt and Jeremiah just HAD to get obsessed with it. and then I just HAD to pull out my wallet when he didn't win it.

Doing nothing solves nothing. I hate to look melodramatic, but the spirit of the quote is true for this too, "Evil prevails because of the indifference of good men." Activision is not "evil" they're just a company looking to maximize profit. They've just chosen to swindle their customers to do so, unfortunately, and most of those customers don't know it because this is their first generation as gamers. The casual boom brought a lot of inexperienced people into the gaming world for the first time, so as far as they're concerned $15 for 5 rehashed maps is a perfectly reasonable price, for example. $15 is what they'll pay, so $15 is what Activision charges. As for the rest of us, many of them feel the same way you do. "How could I possibly make a difference by not buying in?" But you are not the only person thinking that! There are millions out there thinking the same thing. Imagine if they'd stop saying why it wouldn't work and would just try.

Unfortunately i don't think the scales will ever tip on this one monkey They have a huge following especially with MLG starting to get bigger, you have whole expos now for street fighter , tekken , and a number of other fighting games. How many street fighters have be re hashed out since 4 ? i want to say 2-3 the same goes for marvel vs capcom . how many people that go to these tournaments want to lose a competitive edge because they shouldn't feed into this decaying habit from the big game developers?then there are the fanatics that just don't really care or have the money to burn.
There are endless examples that i feel are just overwhelming , and not enough people view this as a bad thing or refuse to see it as an issue . As much as i think we can change this and as much as i want this to be changed, the realist in me sees it for what it is, as of right now not enough people care or they don't have any problem justifying these things. Could it change ? sure anything could and i hope one day we as consumers can actually make a difference with a firm stance . will it happen any time soon ? i highly doubt it :/
on a side note i have always liked that quote

And will this change if you do nothing? No. The one and only way for there to be change is if people work for it. Don't stand around frowning at the number of pieces in the puzzle. Find the ones you can and fit them together. Saying it's too big for you to do anything about isn't realist. It's defeatist. No matter how many examples you can come up with, it will always be true that nothing ever changed by doing nothing.
