2) Can you buy items while you're dead and will they appear in your inventory before you respawn? 4) Do you lose (some of) your gold when you die? I wasn't paying attention to that the one time I died... 5) Can you "buyback" (spending some of your gold to respawn immediately)? 6) How do the turrets do damage? I thought Rhyn0x said that turrets do more damage with each successive hit to the same target, or maybe I misunderstood. 2: Yes, dead or alive, as soon as you buy an item it appears in your inventory. So if you buy something while dead, it's added to your inventory as soon as you make the purchase. 4: No, you are not penalized by losing any gold when you die. 5: No, once you die you have to wait to respawn, the more deaths you have the longer the respawns take. 5: Turrets start off by doing small damage upon the first hit, and the longer you stay underneath them you take more and more damage. If you take a hit, run away, then take another hit later on, they should do the same damage.

The towers with this patch deal more damage and have higher defences in the 1st 4 minutes Also every time the tower hits you it does more damage

-Yes, they appear instantly in your inventory. -No, no gold loss -Nope, just have to sit and wonder why seconds seem to take minutes. If I recall correctly, the death timers are not as severe as DotA -The turrets damage you if you are the first in range. If minions are first in range, the turret will attack them first, and will continue to target the lowest HP target. It will change target if you attack an enemy champ while in range. They do a good amount of damage, and that damage does increase with each successive hit.

Apparently I need to pay attention to what page I'm on when quick posting. Sorry for the late reply to questions already answered! :/ I like the bot lane. I usually play ADC or Sup/Tank so bot usually works for me Really I'm happy to play any roll or any lane... whatever helps the team!

Really I'm happy to play any roll or any lane... whatever helps the team! Same here, I'm good for whatever lane really, depends on who I feel like playing. I've been having a rough week with League this week, I won't be on for a few days.

Try writing a comparison of LoL and Dota 2 and then see how you feel.

I'm actually seriously thinking about continuing further because right now my main purpose for writing it is for a reason that will just end up disappointing me. If I keep writing it because I want to show people which is better and expect people to change afterwards then I'm likely going to find myself disappointed, and that's a fault of mine. I can't expect to finish it and then have people see that one offers more than the other, even though the two offer their own exclusive aspects.
From what I have done so far, I can say that the number of parallels between LoL and Dota is bordering on mind-boggling, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has looked into the history of both games. I have numerous sections of my review where what one game will have the other will too, and there are a just handful of instances when one will have a leg up on the other. On the surface it's a pretty level playing field game as far as the two games go but when you start getting down to the small details in my eyes there's a clear winner as to which game is the more challenging.
I'll pick two things to compare right now: inhibitors/rax and dying. In LoL there's one inhibitor per lane and if it's destroyed it gives the other team super minions until the inhibitor respawns, which from what I've read appears to be after five minutes. In Dota 2 there are two rax per lane - one for melee creeps and one for ranged creeps - and once they're down they're down. The enemy team gets bigger creeps and if all six rax are destroyed then you're dealing with mega creeps and it's pretty much impossible to win after that. As for dying, in LoL you don't lose any gold upon death whereas in Dota you'll lose gold, but you do have an option to respawn immediately if you have enough gold to buyback.
One thing that really bothers me about LoL is the whole idea about a summoner. The more you play, the more rewards you get. You put points into masteries, unlock spells that you can have with you in every game, and unlock champions so you don't play with just ten all the time. It just feels like it makes the game unfair. I'm a new player so that means that while I can TP back to base, I have to walk back to my lane because I haven't played enough to unlock the TP to friendlies spell yet. When I compare that to buying a TP scroll in Dota 2 so I can teleport to any friendly building whenever I want or picking up some Boots of Travel in the late-game it's just a matter farming the gold to do so.
And I guess this is probably my biggest issue between the two games: what you bring to a match, no matter how long you've played. In LoL you can unlock various things that may change the game before it even starts. In Dota 2 all you can bring to the game is what's in your head. Nothing else. It's what you do with it that will help you win.
I'm debating whether or not to continue my write-up because right now I feel like that when I finish I'll expect people to think that Dota 2 is the better game and will switch, and that's not a reasonable assumption to make. People are going to play what they want to play, and if they're interested in trying something different then they will and if they aren't they won't. I'm writing it for the wrong reasons, and until I feel like it'll just be a review of two games I might put it on the back burner for a bit.
With all that said, I suppose this shouldn't be surprising: I will be deleting LoL at the end of the month. I see it as unfair at times and find Dota 2 offers more freedom and challenges on a level playing field. I'll try some games if other people are online, but other than that I don't see myself touching the game.

As a long time DotA player, and long time LoL player, I can agree on some points, but not all. Is one better then the other - that's for each player to decide. Some people like Call of Duty, some prefer Battlefield... to each their own. - Abilities as you level. You have all of them by level 12 out of 30 levels. It takes no time at all to get to 12. - I don't find I miss the teleport scrolls, and I rarely use TP in LoL. The champs move speed is higher in LoL, and you can buy boots that greatly boost this that stack with other items, you can then augment your boots to give you a huge speed boost upon leaving your shop, that slowly reduces over time. There are quite a few "speedy" ways to get around - You need to switch lanes to defend, "b" back to base and run to that turret. Cuts out a lot of time. - Respawning inhibitors, gives a fighting chance to the losing team, but I do miss super creeps. - Masteries/Abilities/Runes: yeah, it sucks at the start, bur really, they don't do THAT much. The numbers are very small. For my tank build, I get an extra 178hp by level 18 with some of my runes (that's a total number, not per rune). In the ultimate scheme of things, it's peanuts. In the end, leveling up doesn't really take to long, especially against others... Heck, even at level 1 you were playing a mean Miss Fortune In the end, I like both games, each offers something different, but a lot of the same. I honestly think/hope, you should/wil try and give it some more time. I hated LoL when I first started playing it, I really did. I was DotA through and through. After a while, the nuances start to come out and you appreciate it more, or for what it is. I suggest the same to those LoL players that don't like DotA as much. I would like to see you in LoL more, it was/is fun, and I would like to play some more DotA with you as well PS - This is just my 2 cents, not meaning it to come across as argumentative, condecending, or any of that... just some open friendly dialog. Only my thoughts and opinions

Well Monday and Tuesday were alright. I started off having fun, and a string of good games. Then from Wednesday on I've been having lots of bad games, and connection issues with the game. I'll see the "attempting to reconnect" thing appear like 4-5 times per game, and this is after repairing the client.

Ah yes, the lag machine! It is never fun! When ever I've had strings of issues with it, it's usually been on my end.... not always, sometimes it's server issues as well. I assume you've done the router/modem restarts, and sequences if seperate?

I haven't reset my router, but maybe that will do the trick.

If you are router and modem are seperate turn them both off (unplug them). Wait 30 seconds, plug in your modem. Wait for about a minute, for all activity to resume as normal, then plug in your router.
