On the old board, I had posted that I gave this game a try and ended up not liking it. Well I went back to it awhile back, and since getting skilled up a bit, have become addicted.
CCP seems committed to the long haul and have continued to improve the game (1.0 to 1.5 patch in 5 months). I left for a spell during the 1.3 Uprising release and came back after the 1.4. Things seemed much better (new maps, not getting stuck on the environment, better aim/hit detection, on-going balancing changes etc.). Then again, the passive SP gained over the time I was gone, applied to my desired role (logi) made a big difference in battle.
Now with 1.5 due out Oct 8th, I'm excited to see the game continue to grow.
If anyone has any interest, things like Blue Prints and the Merc pack are going away Oct. 8th and you might want to grab one before they are gone.
I have my logi at Advanced level, being about 3 months away from Prototype level, with "Omega Passive Boosters" (2x normal, also only available until the end of oct. I believe).
Anyway, if anyone here is playing, give me a holler so we can corp and/or squad up.
