No problem. Another thing I don't think is obvious. Hold down Alt to display your hunger bar and also highlight anything you can interact with. If you do this on your ship, for instance, all the consoles you can use will flash. That might have helped you see the fuel console. And remember, if all else fails, click all the things.

I'm wondering if different biomes have an abundance of ores . I got onto a dessert biome and after about half an hour I had 600 iron ore . Coal I haven't been so lucky with yet .
Have you guys seen or read anything about the biomes and ore ? I couldn't find anything on it so I am thinking I may have just gotten lucky

Right now it's not biome, but planet level that determines the types of ore available. Also, the ore generation has been turned way, way up so it won't be nearly as abundant in the final release.
I'd personally get behind a biome factor on ore generation though. It'd be good to pick a planet that seems likely to have a certain kind of ore you'd want. Same way you could pick out a forest planet if you want green dirt, etc. Sure save time.

A lot of what I have seen of this game looks really promising and some of the additions they hope to add like space combat sound very cool. But I think I might wait until the Vita release, ill probably enjoy this more on the go and such.

The dev just keeps getting better. They've been really, really receptive to community feedback and ideas. And now they're starting to include community-created mods. Case in point, Bioshock: Infinite style skylines. That's already pretty awesome, but then the devs come along and say to the guy who made the mod, "If you'd like to get this in the base game we can do that, and add some animations to it to polish it up."

Im not sure if you guys knew this already , but you can repair your pick axe by using any ore. This would have saved me so many pixels :C

Yeah, I learned about that a while back on the r/starbound subreddit. Probably should have mentioned that here. Oops. Sorry about that.
That's where I learn a lot about the game. Case in point, that thread in my above post. Oh, and the dev has confirmed that the rail thing will even be in the next update. That was fast.

New patch is out.Lots of new stuff, and word is that it didn't wipe characters, but did wipe ships. So, anything you were holding would still be on your character, but not anything you'd stored. Haven't played yet myself to see.

Hopefully they don't do another whipe with creating the star maps again . Having touse the brain extractor is really infuriating, you have to have it dead on and it's such a low drop rate for the brain you need . ......-_-

Sad news then. There is one more wipe planned for the beta, but it really is supposed to be the final one.
I do agree that that part was annoying though. Very annoying. Making main quest advancement depend on random drops is never a good idea.
