I hate the rain we've been having. You wanna swap? I will totally trade you. I recently moved from seattle to kansas city. it was 0 degrees and snowing yesterday. I actually enjoy the rain. I had a really nostalgic moment at work last week when I slipped and split water all over my head and clothes. brought back such fond memories of getting caught out in the rain then going inside and having to deal with wet clothes. sounds terrible, but it was kinda nice. RF/T I am so happy that my home town team beat the living shit out my coworker's team (a co worker whom I find to be rather annoying)....I am of course referring to the super bowl.

We've got nothing but nasty ice over here. I'm sure it's worse further north, but it's still not fun. Been probably 10 years or more since we had a winter that just wouldn't let go like this.

Our stuff isn't buried so much as encased. I mean, it isn't as bad as a real ice storm. No loss of power in the area, no downed lines. But the way the freezing rain came down on the snow, coupled with the way temps have gotten just above freezing during the day over the last week, has left the whole area under a sheet of quite solid ice. When you live on a hill (that the city is doing squat for, might I add), driving is not an option. More snow due in next week too. Yay.

I just want it to be warm again. I'd give anything for the 100+ degree weather I was experiencing when I 1st moved

Oh, you'll get it. Promise. I would not be surprised if you get it in March. Late April is more likely, but with the way the weather's gone haywire the last few years, March isn't out of the question.

Maybe our weather has just hit a mid-life crisis and now it wants to zoom around a lot.

Screw this weather. Floods, icestorms, hurricanes, occurring where they are very rare. Its almost as if the cilmate was changing.

Oil corporation sponsored "science" has taken the percentage of Global warming deniers in the US to new heights. Every time we get cold weather FOX news commentators go apeshit comparing "local weather" to climate.

The thing a lot of people don't understand about global warming/climate change is that a big part of it is that "the extremes become more extreme". You will likely experience weather that you've experienced in the past, but as time goes by the weather you experience may become more severe as time progresses. Storms are more powerful because there's more heat in the system to power them, which may be a contributing factor to their increased size, power, and frequency.
