Financial compensation? You bet! But first things first- Let's get rid of all chemical and nuclear warfare.

Agent Orange was actually an herbicide used to clear out the jungle so US forces could spot Viet Cong. According to reports soldiers would be sprayed with the chemical dispersed from planes. The backlog of disability cases from the US finally recognizing the damage done to these soldiers is huge over a year last time I checked.

They talk like this is embedded in the DNA of the Vietnamese and then passed down to their children as the video shows. Someone needs to pay for that right? Meaning we the tax payers.. And even that doesn't really piss me off. Those poor children need help. Some parents are even abandoning their affected babies. What the hell?

I don't think the chemical itself is still active in peoples DNA but I bet it has really damaged it so they have birth defects. I dont know why people would abandon kids. I I have friends who have kids with severe disabilities. I dont know how they handle it but they do.

Thank you Stella! RR- I could be wrong but a clip I was watching earlier this morning was pretty much saying it was being passed down through the generations. Either way.. When will it die out. Pretty scary knowing that your unborn child stands a good chance of having these serious birth defects.

I just watched that whole clip, it seems Agent Orange takes a long time to breakdown and is still in areas where people are exposed. One thing I have to say is the chemical wasn't used as a weapon but as a tool to help the USA see who they were fighting. We screwed up as many of our soldiers as we did Viet Cong. The damage may be severe but I believe the intent was different than say using nerve gas or other chemical weapons directly. The chemical doesn't have to embed in peoples DNA it is still present and in the plants and animals they eat.
