I think that's the idea. This is how I pick up most of my games now: when they're so cheap you can't say no.

I played Half-Life and Blue shift when they came out both great games. I still have the Blue- Shift disc but last time I tried it it didn't work. I think it was for Windows 98 I'd love to get a cheap copy of the orange box for PS3 sometime.

I bought it for PC in the Steam Holiday sale, it didn't impress me. Story seems interesting but it just feels dated, especially in gameplay. I understand it is an old game but if it is not holding up well for me I don't care how old it is tbh, wasn't enjoying myself that much.

I have an announcement to make. Despite being a huge Half-Life fan, I have never actually finished the first game. I kept getting stuck, I dunno why. Well, when I got stuck I'd ask my dad for help, he'd help me through the part I got stuck at and then with a silly grin on his face keep going. Today, however, I finished the first game. I quite enjoyed it, but came out thinking "they just don't make games like they used to". I can't remember beating a game and feeling so satisfied after the final boss like that. I didn't feel like the game was holding my hand most of the time telling me where to go and how to do it, almost like I was given the bare minimum and left to figure things out for myself. I'll admit, there were some frustrating parts, but I'd play through the game again regardless. Onto Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

I have to agree with Monkey! haha If you don't want to play Dark Souls, Demon's Souls will do! Seriously though, congrats on beating it. I'm sure everyone has that one game they never did finish, but wish they had. I know I have more then one.

I'd play through HL2 and while I had an idea of what's going on, but it's not like I could say "I was there" at the time. I didn't fully understand the "arrangement" with G-man before, whereas now I do and puts HL2 under a slightly different light.
I'm not sure when I'll play Opposing Force and Blue Shift. My laptop would lag if I didn't use the Source version of HL for some reason, and the expansions are using the old engine. I'll have to find out what's wrong or if I have to play them somewhere else.

my 1st attempt was the farthest for me. there is too much boring stuff earlier on that make it much harder to get through on later attempts.
