Posting in Threads

1) Navigation Bar
Home: Displays you to the forum's main page.
Help: Displays you to ProBoard's Help Page.
Search: Allows you to perform an advanced search.
Calender: Displays you to the calender.
Members: Displays you to the Members List page. You may sort through members based on different criteria.
Admin: Takes you to the forum's Admin Panel. (STAFF ONLY)
Profile: Displays you to your Full Profile.
Messages: Displays you to your Private Messages.
Recent Posts: Displays the latest posts in all threads.

2) Welcome ***Display Name*** and Logout

3) Participated button
Displays a list of threads you have recently posted in.

4) Reply
Takes you to the Full Reply page.

5) Pagination Control
Allows you to navigate through a thread's pages. Another control may be found at the bottom of the thread.

6) Actions dropdown
Displays the options for threads (if first post) or posts with [Mark as New], [Bookmark], [Share], [Go to] and [Moderate] (STAFF ONLY).

7) Search bar
Allows you to search for a term in only that thread.

8) Quote
Allows you to quote one post and takes you to the Full Reply page with that quote included.

9) Edit
Allows you to edit your post by bring you to a Full Reply page. An edited note will appear in the bottom right of the post body if you complete the edit.
Staff are able to edit any user's post.

10) Like
If you like the content of a member's post (including your own) you may click this button. If you do, the top of the post will display a list of members who like the post. You can also un-Like the post later.

11) Post Options
Select Post: Selects that post. You may select multiple posts and when you reply to them they will appear in the Full Reply.
Link to Post: Provides a link to the post in the thread or just the post.
Report Post: Notifies the staff that a post has been reported.
Member > Send Message: Send a Private Message to the poster.
Back to Top: Takes you to the top of the page.

12) Displays the following information
- Your display name and group colour if you are in a group that is coloured
- Your rank or group membership
- Your rank or group image
- Your custom title. Only staff can see and edit this field.

13) Your avatar image

14) Your current status update

15) Your Mini-Profile information
Information that will always display is your Nation Reputation and your Post Count. You may fill in optional fields when editing your profile.

16) Trophies
The trophies you have been given will be displayed here in your Mini-Profile. Full-sized trophies are visible at your Full Profile page.

17) Post Body
This is where your post content appears.

18) Signature
If you have a signature, it will appear here. You may edit your signature in your profile.

Awards System

Uses 1 Super Key

This plugin allows members or staff add awards to your profile. They should appear in your posting profile and under a tab on your profile page. You can add or remove awards by clicking them in the area they are in so that they move to the other area. So if you want to give yourself and award, click on it in the "Available" section and it will move to the "Received" section, and vice versa.

This one will require some tweaking, so please provide feedback.

ProBoards Pagination Control (Activated)

By default there's page navigation at the top of the thread or screen and this plugin adds that navigation to the bottom of the page too. The settings for the one at the bottom can be adjusted depending on our preferences.

ProBoards Thread Meta Data (Activated)

Uses 1 Key

"Define meta data fields for your forum's threads and allow your users to set these fields when creating or editing threads."

We can be quite flexible with what we can do with this plugin. An example of how you can use this plugin is while playing an RPG you can show the requirements (level, XP) and the rewards for a quest on the board page. We can name those fields and add as many of them as we like, but they can't be different for different boards. We'll have to decide what we want to do with them and where we want data like this to be displayed: this can be restricted to certain boards if we want.

Word Count Trophies

It looks like an image will be placed in the post based on the number of words in the post. The number of words required to receive a certain image can be changed.

The idea for this plugin is to encourage lengthier posts, which may or may not be required.

Signature Manager

Places various limitations on signatures. If people get out of hand with their sigs and start abusing them then we can put restrictions on sigs. Currently this is not activated so there are no restrictions in place.

Along with a lot of standard forum features, we can also install plugins on the forum. Plugins are add-ons to add features to the boards and are made by other ProBoard users. While these plugins are free, some of them require keys to use. By default each forum has 10 keys and two "Super Keys", so if you happen to be browsing the plugin library looking for features keep that in mind.

Tournament Brackets (Activated)
Uses 1 Key

The tournament brackets can be used when organizing an event. A tab beside the BBCode tab will appear when making full replies or threads where tournament brackets are allowed to be posted. Currently you may only make tournament brackets in the Contests and Events board and Info board.

Unfortunately there's some software on the forum that is interfering with being able to edit the brackets. A software update should be on its way to allow the brackets to be edited again. Two-sided brackets are not supported yet.

Karma System (Activated)
Uses 1 Super Key

In Profiles and Mini-Profiles there is a Nation Reputation along with Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down. If you click on another member's Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down, you can change their Nation Reputation. While you can click it on the Mini-Profile, there is no way to show you appreciate a post using the Karma System. You can click on Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down once every eight (8) hours, and if you click too soon it will notify you when you can next give or take a point. You cannot give yourself Nation Reputation points.

Possible bug: You can click on Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down on your profile and have no change, and then click again and be told you cannot give/take points for eight hours.

Reply Button In Posts And Recent Posts (Activated)
Adds Reply buttons to all posts in threads and in the Recent Posts page.

ProBoard Highlight Search Terms (Activated)

Sticky Thread Divider (Activated)
Separates announcements, stickies and regular threads from each other.

Member Gallery (Activated)
Members can create a gallery for themselves where they can post images and comments. Only they can post there, though moderators have the ability to remove images or edit/remove comments. The only board that can use this feature is Galleries.

Spoiler Tags (Activated)
This plugin adds a button to the Full Reply that adds spoiler tags.
