Major sale going on from now to the 22nd.
Personally I am really hoping to get dishonored. right now it is 40% off down to 17.99 I was really hoping it would of won the community choice vote earlier today but borderlands 2 won that. hopefully there will be another chance for it anyways

All I want is Fallout 3: GOTY Edition and Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition to go on sale for more that the 40% they are currently on, then I will buy them and that will be all my purchases for the summer sale  . |

Dishonoured was $10.20 on the first day of the sale. I got Surgeon Simulator for $3.40-something. I'm happy I didn't spend more on it because it's so frustrating. >.>
I was hoping to get Reus for a good deal, but it seems it didn't get enough votes to get 50% off. Oh well, I guess I didn't miss it then.

Yes !, woke up this morning to see New Vegas on sale, knew straight away the whole series was deeply discounted and it was, bought both GOTY Editions, thanks Valve ! .

I woke up this morning and got System Shock 2 for $2.50 with 50s to spare before the deal ended. I also picked up BL2 for $10.20.

Mods. Potential for enhanced graphics.
The former is why I picked up the Fallouts again. That and not having to deal with the constant freezes, I hope, as I did on PS3.

Now that I think about it, I recall mention of some freezing problems... Says Fallout 3 GOTY is not maximized for windows 7. Anyone have any issues with this game on 7? I asked a friend about it when I saw that. Said he didn't have any problems. Strongly recommended the "Unofficial Patches" for both FO3 and NV, so you'd probably want to track those down. @azira when you played the Fallouts did you have those installed? |

We've bought Bethesda games on PC because of mods and console commands. I don't think we actually modded either Fallout game though but we did mod Oblivion and Skyrim (I stopped playing them after they were modded though). It's awesome that when you get stuck for whatever reason you can just hit the console button, type "tcl", fly out of your stuck spot then turn it back on instead of reloading back to your last save. As much as I dislike Bethesda now, I actually like Fallout 3 because it didn't crash or freeze every 30 min (or sooner for Skyrim) for whatever reason. It crashed upon exiting, but I don't really remember it crashing while I wanted to play it, which can't be said for Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim. I liked the game on its own, but the fact that it wasn't crashing all the damn time for me was HUGE in my books. I couldn't say the same of New Vegas, IIRC. It seemed awfully buggy. I can't remember how many times I came across the diagonal ant walking towards me. I'm sure you could deduce this yourself, but the thing about mods is that some of there are buggy and/or conflict with each other. By now though with those games there should be plenty of reliable ones since they're old games. The only mods that we ever had in FO3 were my "put more storage in Megaton and Ten Penny Tower" mods.  EDIT: I don't think we had any Unofficial Patches for either Fallout, but again, for FO3 no one seemed to have problems playing it.
I think I'm going to pick up Reus for $5. Any good? |

Well I ended up picking up FO 3, new vegas, and the new tomb raider. Hopefully it wont be too hard to mod if I need too. Looks like the rest of my cash is going towards school clothes for my boy.

Don't know if it'll help in this case, but I make it SOP to "Verify the Integrity of the Game Cache" whenever I download a Steam game. Can help sort out bugs due to missing files and such.
Just right click on the game on the list, Properties, Local, Verify.

I'm getting a issue saying it doesn't recognize my graphics card and that it wont be able to support direct3d support xna frame work :/
I tried what you said monkey but i got the same error. i will have to try an figure something out i really want to play this game
