I haven't been on a lot , I had to prepare for my corrections physical and first interview . So far it seems to have went alright, I have to go back down Saturday for a 5 hour psych test .
Fun fact it's a 3 hour drive from my place and I have to be there at 7:30 am....

School has been cancelled or delayed 5 times over the past couple of weeks. Only one of those times actually had unsafe conditions. That happened to be the 1st time, where my district decided to delay 2 hours after kids and teachers were already AT school. It took me an 1 hour and a half to get to school. Slipping and sliding the whole way. Moral of the story is don't screw up the 1st time or you'll overreact every time after.
Yes we close school in Texas for ice because our de-icing products are crap and we don't even have enough if those.

Schools around here have been closed multiple times due to wind chills of -30 or -40F
They're spring breaks are being shortened and days added to the end of the year
