Well, it's not like we're limited to only building things once. Doing so now would be a great opportunity to get some practice in with the system basics before 1.2 greatly expands them.
Going to 1.2 will require a world wipe, I believe, if we want to play on it. That doesn't mean what we do here is without use or anything. Hopefully we're enjoying playing with one another, and working together.
Speaking of building stuff, if I get time I think I'll hop on and build a nice floating island near the base. It's always a good place to build stuff and keep it out of reach of hard mode.

Yeah. There are natural ones, but nothing stops you from making your own.
A wipe really wouldn't be that big of a thing. Everything your character is/has is saved to just the character itself. You can have everyone load up on as much as they want before the move and then just reconnect to the new world with their characters. It wouldn't take long after that to establish a base and easily kill off all the bosses again to bring the world right up to where it is when we decide to wipe it.

If you like to play games that involve building things, I do happen to have Minecraft and Terraria, but I only have the Xbox 360 versions of those games.

Awesome, I greatly appreciate it. Before I got my new desktop all I had was a 6 year old Macbook,and it was not good for gaming at all. Now I can actually go make a Steam account and download it lol. |

I should have my PC tomorrow. Will be fun trying to play catch up. As opposed to feeling like I'm way out in front of everyone.
as for 1.2 without the wipe we will get to craft new things, and fight new enemies, but new areas, and materials won't exist. Which can have a serious impact on what we are able to craft. No jungle dungeons, likely none of the new ore, depending on how it is triggered, etc. Should still be able to make the ridable unicorn, and corrupt pet things though.

Proto-floating island is in stage 1 now. It's only 50 wide or so, and just one rocket flight and grapple up and to the right of the main tower. I'll build an easier access entryway via switch once I have the money for the supplies.

My classes start in a few weeks as well, but for me I'm on vacation the duration of this week. Until school starts nights and weekends are good for me. I still need to get Terraria from Jaded though. But I'm sure he'll send it my way ASAP.
