If no one else has done it by then, I'll get around to making up a general storage building next to the tower sometime in the next couple of days. About the size of the tower, with only wooden platforms for floors, grey brick for the outside, and stone wall for the background. Signs and fitting statues (where available) to denote what is on which floor of chests.
Another thing about chests: Please make sure you carry a hammer with you and pick up any and all chests you come across, don't just raid them. It's likely we'll need them for storage for one thing or another before it's all over.

Mmm, demonite armor!.. or is jungle armor better? I have no clue what I should be working toward... hurray for being a noob. (I could just Google it, I guess, heh) Glad things are looking up/working. I got called in early to work, so I won't be able to address the NPC issue tonight. Monkey - If you need/want help with the organizing, let me know. Will be happy to see it finally done.
To get lots of scales and get everyone equiped, do the orbs respawn? Can you kill the eater an infinite amount of times?

Demonite is better than jungle , and you can make worm food at the demon alter to summon the eater of worlds .
I think its 15 rotten meat and 30 vile powder

The Shadow armor has better defense at 19 vs Jungle's 13, but Jungle also provides an extra 20 mana and 3% magic crit chance per piece (so 60 Mana and 9%). Depending on which you'd prefer to use, Physical attacks or Magic, either one could be the better option. If you want to focus on doing Ranged damage, then you might consider the Necro armor. It's made of Cobwebs and Bones (obtained from skeleton enemies by the ton in the Dungeon), and has 16 Defense, while also increasing Ranged damage by something like 15%. The set bonus (a bonus for wearing all pieces of the armor) is for you to have a 20% chance to not consume ammo. Given your tastes, Ry, I expect you might want to make a set of this just to put in your social slot. I know how much you love the death things. 8D
That's the right formula, J. 15 Rotten Chunks and 30 Vile Powder. Vile Powder is made from Vile Mushrooms at an alchemy station (a table with a bottle on it).
Having killed the Eye and the Eater, now is the time that we would normally take on the game's next boss, Skeletron. Nobody already killed him, however, and unlike every other boss there is no way to summon him again. (Once the world enters Hardmode, you will be able to summon and fight Skeletron Prime though.) The next logical progression is to go into the Dungeon area he was guarding. This place is tough as enemies come at you constantly. But it's the only way to get Gold Keys (drop from any dungeon enemy and always from Dungeon Slimes) for opening dungeon chests and chests on floating islands, and Shadow Keys (of which you only need carry one) which can be found in dungeon chests and are used for opening Shadow Chests in the Underworld. It can be done, but I advise against going in alone if possible.

>.>.....<.<... well i did it alone lol
first run in the underworld 2 sets of molten ( the extra armor set it in the shadow chest ) there is a set of necro armor in one of the gold and there is now an extra set of shadow armor in the shadow chest. there is about 750 pieces of obsidian so you guys can craft some skulls and start exploring the underworld . Also there are 11 spare life crystals in the same shadow chest i put my self up to 400 since i was exploring the underworld
4 voodoo dolls that i think you use to summon the wall and a few other items i stored in the chest if you guys want them.
also ig you go to the right of our main spawn i made a semi quick path to the under world, its marked with 4 or 5 torches

Well, the reason I suggested going with someone wasn't because of its difficulty so much as because it's the point of the game on the server. If we wanted to just do everything for ourselves we could just play offline in our own worlds.
Dropping voodoo dolls in lava while in the underworld is indeed how you summon the Wall of Flesh boss. I'm going to ask that no one kills him for a long while. Obviously, the world is not just mine, and I'm not trying to control the other players here. But if we were to kill him it would begin Hardmode, from which there is no turning back. Yes, we'll want to do that eventually, but I would advise waiting until everyone votes to do so, and at least wait until all the players are up to max life and molten armor. Be advised that if we enter Hardmode, the game will become completely unplayable for newbies. A fresh character cannot survive more than one hit from any given enemy in Hardmode. Could we equip a new player and give them enough found Hearts to hit max life? Certainly. Is that going to be fun for them? I don't think so. With the best will in the world, you can ruin the game for someone like that. If everyone was an old pro, then maybe it wouldn't be an issue, but we still have people finding their feet. I know it's weird, but we need to let people do things for themselves while doing stuff together. For myself, I plan to avoid progressing on my own for a while. I'll accompany anyone who wants it into the jungle or down to the dungeon to farm whatever they choose, but other than that I'm going to focus on making our base better or building my own personal quarters.
Speaking of the base, in preparation for Hardmode, all new structures should be built out of some kind of Brick. Doesn't matter what. Grey, Green, whatever you want so long as it's either brick or clay. You may have noticed in those screenshots of my base that it's made out of Blue Brick (mined from my world's dungeon). This is because on entering Hardmode Brick is about the only thing that can't be made into a Corrupted or Hallowed form, and thus unlivable. I'll go into more detail about Hardmode and all that whenever we do decide to switch to it.
EDIT: I've added the storage area to the left of the tower. (And it took forever to get going on because I had a Bloodmoon followed immediately by a Goblin Invasion!) Each level has signs saying what to put on each side. I've sorted them the first way that came to mind, so if anyone sees a better way be sure and say so. I realize that some categories will overlap. For example, a Bone is a Ranged Weapon, but also a Crafting Ingrediant. Since it has "Ranged Damage" in its own descriptor, I would place it in the Ranged Weapons and Ammunition section. Use your best judgement when sorting, and I'm sure we'll be fine. Once we've settled on the final categories and such, please everyone be sure to familiarize yourself with what goes where. A filing system is wasted effort if not everyone uses it properly. I haven't actually moved anything yet. I'll leave that to you guys.

That's some rotten luck O.o
I definitely understand what you are getting at monkey. Its not my intention to do everything for every one , if I am thinking correctly once you die in hard mode you have to start a new character . so I figured it might not be a bad idea to stock pile some key items, but I also wanted every one to know if they want to use then or take then they are there for that also

The only time you'd have to make a new character is if your current one is Hard*core* when you create them, so fear not on that. It's unique to each individual. I believe we're all playing softcore characters, so we're good.

Thanks for clearing that up, that's a lot less tension I will have switching over .
once hard mode starts do all the treasure chest, dungeons, and underworld reset and do the new mineral deposits just appear or do we have to trigger then ?
if I get on tonight I'll start moving the inventory over and work on building my beach front property lol

Nothing resets. The Wall of Flesh drops a piece of equipment called the Pwnhammer. If you use this to destroy a demon alter it spawns a deposit of a new ore somewhere in the world in the order of Cobalt>Mithral>Adamantine>Repeat. As for biomes, the world is hit with a large X. Down one / will be a strenghened version of the Corruption. Down the other \ will be the Hallow. Both will spread like wildfire through nearly everything. They can't move through brick or clay, and they don't have any effect on each other, normally. Corruption does spawn a new version of the Big Eaters called Corrputors. They fire a projectile that convert anything but Brick that it hits instantly into corruption. Underground areas and deserts both have their own Hallow/Corrupt versions too. Killing things in the Underground Hallow or Corruption is how you get Souls of Light/Night, which are used for lots of crafting of Hardmode items.

Well, as some of you know I've gone magic Having fun, did some farming with Monkey earlier and made myself a full set of jungle armor (necro for vanity). I still find it very strange that necro armor has not benefit to magic, sigh. We need to get Cel/Six in to a game with us sometime Having a lot of fun playing the game, and "hanging out" with other Nationites!

-15% dmg -10% knockback and speed. >_<

It was a hectic few seconds of jumping and praying I was in range to grapple something lol.
and yeah I won't be on to much till we decide to take on the wall . Maybe a day this weekend if anyone needs help with anything but that will be about it.
also when 1.2 hits are we going to want to start a new world ? If so would it be better off if we all held off on building our own places till then?
