A show new replies to your posts button would be wonderful.at the top of the page.... always like on OGOB
Biggest pain with SN is having to click index then View Your Posts especially with me being a mobile user primarily

Would it be possible to have a sticky with examples of coding that people like me who don't memorize coding can copy and paste. Spoilers come to mind first for me. Unless its on a pulldown menu I missed or something.

iRideAPalmer: There's a "Participated" button on the top right corner underneath the Logout button. I think that might be what you want. EDIT: Your profile will also get have a bubble appear beside it at the top of the page if you have something waiting for you. Cel: We're talking things over, but if this place becomes the new permanent home we can change the current smilies and add more. There are some things we still have to figure out though. RRwatch: I have been thinking about making stickies with "How-to's" for a lot of things since this is all new software. Again, it's something that I can see time being wisely on used if we were to stay here. I have looked at the buttons for the reply box and we can't add anymore. I was wondering about what we could do with spoilers, but it looks like that would be something we'd have to ask ProBoards for. There is spoiler code that works though. [spoiler]***insert spoiler here***[/spoiler]This plugin adds a button to replies, but changes what the tags look like when you click them: www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/176

You are so awesome for putting up with me and working to put this together Azira ! That is exactly what I was looking for and at some point a sticky would work great until people like me learn to code common tasks not on the Reply menu..... if we stay here.  |

Azira I'm not sure what you mean when you say that plugin that has spoiler tags changes "what the tags look like"? Is it something we could incorporate here. There are lengthy threads discussing games, movies and tv shows where spoiler tags are in almost every post. Could we ditch the horizontal strike through button and get spoiler tags ??

We can't change any of the buttons. However, the fact that someone made a plugin to add a spoiler button suggests that some things can be moved around and changed if you start digging in the code. I don't have any of that kind of know-how. I can turn on that plugin for a bit to see how it looks and if everyone likes it. EDIT: RRwatch there's a spoiler tag button at the end now (the shush smilie). Try that. |

I wonder if you could turn the spoilers into buttons...
Someone else can look into it if they want. My brain hurts a little after putting in the Nation Reputation. I'll have to make a plugin post about it later.
