i found a couple of those. they are really helpful early on. though once you get a hook they become obsolete.
apparently each world will have either the corruption or the crimson. which kind did you guys get? i got crimson.
o and flaregun is so fricking awesome. (projectile waterproof torches FTW)

I spawned with the same old corruption, but a bunch of new ores that replace iron, cooper , sliver, and gold
I have no idea what to do... so much new stuff lol

I just fought the crimson boss and he is my favorite boss. had a blast fighting him
btw take some wood to the guide to get an idea of the rank of the tiers.

Oh, man. Finally got a little time to myself today, and put in a couple hours on Terraria with some of it.
Awesome. Pure awesome.
Found some Sandstone Blocks poking out of a desert area, so I dug down. Treasure chamber in a pyramid.
Sandstorm in a Bottle. "Allows the wearer to do an improved double jump." Doesn't do it justice. The range on it is huge, and it has a cool little spinning animation. This thing is unlikely to leave my inventory, especially if it stacks with wings like the Cloud in a Bottle/Balloon used to.
Found some Crimson as well. Was doing well until I got overrun by a flood of its enemies.
Love the reduced cost on mana crystals. Only 5 Fallen Stars per now instead of 10. Goes really well with the Superior Water Bolt I scored off the bookshelves at the beginning of the Dungeon.
The chests...
Now, normally, I like a chest that's just big enough to be a handful hold a handful of items. But sweet zombie Jebus, these plus-sized chests are heavenly. I could just stare at them all day. And then fill them with ore.

Also im on hard mode. and holy crap does the map make finding/destroying demon altars as well as finding the various hard mode ores to much easier. took me a fraction of the time to get to adamantanite as it did before.
Also hard mode was hard before now it is ****ing ridiculous. they have added even more really difficult enemies. that require some significantly different tactics. but holy shit does that result in a lot of deaths especially when all i want to do is mine.
speaking of mining there is an ore past adaman, its only found in the under ground jungle. and requires adaman level gear to mine. and to top it off the jungle in hard mode has been totally revamped to kick your ass.

so far all my gold chest have had nothing but freaking flair guns and one extractor >.<.
The extractor is awesome , you can throw silt / sludge into it and it throws out random ores.
Apparently those pyramids are really rare to spawn , i haven't run across one yet ,bu t i have found floating islands , and the chest you get are awesome along with the fact you can mine the clouds they float on .

Nationopolis is now version 1.2!
There are a few differences with the control panel at this time. All passwords are the same, but you will most likely have to register again, sorry.
If you notice other things that need to be adjust or corrected, please let me know, and I will do my best to them rectify ASAP.
